Admissions
The College of Coastal Georgia can help you acquire the skills, experience and credentials you need to advance in
your career or to further your education. Coastal Georgia offers six Bachelor's degrees and nearly 50 Associate's
degrees – find one that's right for you.
Admission to the College of Coastal Georgia is an easy process when completed in a timely manner. The Office of
Admissions provides information to high school students applying to Coastal Georgia and current college students
who want to transfer CCGA. To apply online, click on "Apply Now" and complete the application for admission.
Admissions Process
If you follow the five step guide below, you will have a problem-free admission and registration experience. Our
goal is to expedite the admissions process to ensure student satisfaction.
- Click here to fill out your Application. Applications are due 30 days prior to the start of the semester.
- Send all your educational transcripts (high school and/or college) and/or your GED scores to the Office of Admissions, College of Coastal Georgia, 3700 Altama Avenue, Brunswick, GA 31520.
- Send your Immunization Records. Click here to download immunization form. The State of Georgia requires that all public institutions look for the following immunizations: Adult Tetanus for all students, Hepatitis B if you are 18 or younger, Chicken pox (or history of the disease) if you were born after 1980, and 2 doses of Measles, Mumps & Rubella if you were born after 1957. Check with your local health department or family physician to locate your records or to receive a new immunization.
- Submit your official SAT or ACT scores. Students scoring a minimum of 430 SAT Critical Reading or 17 ACT English will be exempt from completing COMPASS placement testing in English; Students scoring a minimum of 400 SAT Math or 17 ACT Math will be exempt from completing COMPASS placement testing in Math.

Important Admissions Facts
To be eligible for all College of Coastal Georgia Foundation Scholarships, students must provide the college with
SAT/ACT scores.
Providing Coastal Georgia Admissions with SAT/ACT scores may exempt prospective students from institutional placement
testing.
Transfer students seeking acceptance to certain degree programs must apply to the College, then separately apply to
their desired degree program. Programs requiring an additional application are: Radiologic Science, Business
Administration, Health Informatics, Teacher Education, and Nursing.
In-State Tuition Validation 
All new applicants seeking admission to the College for any academic semester beginning on or after July 1, 2010, and
requesting in-state classification for tuition purposes, will be required to provide validation of residency in both the
State of Georgia and the United States. Please refer to the College's

Financial Aid
While an education from the College of Coastal Georgia is a good value, finding the money for college isn't always easy. The
Financial Aid Office provides information and counseling on financial aid
opportunities for which you may qualify. These include federal and state grants (Pell Grant, HOPE Grant, etc.), scholarships
from national and local supporters and student loans. There are also opportunities for part-time work to pay for a portion of
your educational expenses. The Financial Aid Office also has a Veteran's counselor to help veterans, their spouses and/or

Support Services
At the College of Coastal Georgia you will find advisors and many support services to help you succeed - even if you have never
gone to college or have been away from college for a long time.
Orientation sessions will make you feel at home. Faculty and staff provide academic advising, career exploration activities and
free academic workshops that cover test taking and note taking skills, and other more technical skills, such as how to use a
graphing calculator, how to use electronic library resources, and more.
Student Support Services is a federally funded educational opportunity,
TRIO program, which provides academic
support to students who come from low-income families; students who are defined as first-generation (neither the student's parents
or guardians have received a four-year degree; or students who have documented disabilities.
