As a student at Coastal Georgia, you will have the opportunity to work with faculty to engage in Undergraduate Research. Through these experiences, you will be mentored and supported to engage in inquiry and investigation with the goal of delivering a creative contribution in a discipline.
Students who engage in undergraduate research often present the results from their original work at local and national conferences, and have opportunities to submit their work for publication in academic journals. Undergraduate research can be completed as an academic or extracurricular experience, and can take a faculty or student-led approach.
The goal of the Undergraduate Research Fund is to supplement travel for presentation of papers or projects at research conferences and meetings, or it may be used to purchase materials to support student research. Undergraduate research funds are administered by the Office of Service-Learning & Undergraduate Research. Award decisions are made by the Undergraduate Research Advisory Board based on availability of resources.
