Dedication Ceremony to be Held in Honor of Dr. Mary Eleanor Wickersham

The College of Coastal Georgia will host a special dedication ceremony in honor of Dr. Mary Eleanor Wickersham, professor emeritus, on Friday, Sept. 27, starting at 9 a.m. Wickersham, who passed January 2024, will be honored with a memorial bench on Lake Teel at the College’s Brunswick campus.

Wickersham joined the College faculty as part of the establishment of the Bachelor of Science in Public Management degree program. Her passion for research and for her students left a lasting legacy within the School of Business and Public Management. To honor her life and work, the School of Business and Public Management fundraised to place a memorial bench on campus. With the support of campus and local community members, a bench has been installed at the east end of Lake Teel.

The campus and local community are invited to attend this special event. Parking for the ceremony is located in front of Coffin Hall. Attendees will need to walk a short distance on a paved path to the ceremony location at Lake Teel.
