The Human Services concentration of the Bachelor of Science in Psychology program provides students with engaged learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom.

Why study Human Services at Coastal Georgia?

Students are taught and advised by nationally and internationally-recognized faculty who put them first. They have opportunities to engage in hands-on service learning, research, and internships with local agencies and community partners. Coastal Georgia students have opportunities to collaborate with program faculty and other students to design, conduct, and present research at regional and national conferences. This concentration provides students with a strong foundation for graduate study, as well as for entry into the workforce.

What will I learn?

The Human Services concentration will provide students with a rigorous program of study in the science of psychology, including the theory, research, and quantitive methods of both basic and applied psychology. Creativity is nurtured along with research, writing, and general problem-solving skills.

Human Services is at the intersection of psychology, health, social work, and business. It focuses on meeting the basic needs of individuals, families, and communities.
