The College of Coastal Georgia invites the Brunswick-Golden Isles community to join in its celebration of Black History Month through a series of exciting, educational events throughout February. This year’s theme is “Honoring the Legacy: African American Labor in the Journey for Justice,” highlighting the achievements and contributions of African Americans to the nation’s labor industry and culture.
“We are excited to bring both the local and campus community together to honor the achievements of African Americans, and to continue the conversations that are essential to building a more inclusive future,” said Olivia Jefferson, program coordinator of the Office of Campus Community and Belonging. “These events provide an opportunity for education, reflection, and action.”
