On June 10, the College of Coastal Georgia Student Life Office hosted the first Massage Monday program for the campus community. The event was done in partnership with Coastal Pines Technical College and provided over 55 sessions—chair massages and table arm therapy—to students, faculty, and staff.
Donna Harvey, neuromuscular massage therapy instructor and program director, was phenomenal in coordinating the date and student clinicians. She supervised the sessions for the CPTC students and assessed their techniques for clinical credit hours.
Coastal Georgia would like to thank all of the student clinicians for their time and talent offered on Monday. The Coastal Georgia family enjoyed the services and the opportunity to be rejuvenated within a relaxed setting.
The next Massage Monday session will be July 8, with sign-ups starting late June. This fall, the CCGA Lighthouse and Coastal Pines will also partner for DeStress Fest.
