The University System of Georgia (USG) is highlighting its commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards of conduct through its annual Ethics Awareness Week, scheduled this year from November 9-15. The purpose of this week is to remind the USG community of its system-wide ethical culture, which is why the College of Coastal Georgia will host activities throughout the week to promote the shared core values of integrity, excellence, accountability, and respect. The College’s theme for the week is “Celebrating our Ethical Culture.”
Steve Wrigley, University System of Georgia Chancellor, believes an ethical culture is critical to the success of all USG institutions, employees, students, and communities.
Coastal Georgia will join the other 25 USG institutions in bringing awareness to this important issue.
The activities for Ethics Awareness Week are as follows:
Monday, November 9
Bridging the Ethical Gap
Tuesday, November 10
Wednesday, November 11
Thursday, November 12
Friday, November 13
“Each year we celebrate Ethics Awareness Week as a reminder of the standards and core values integral to the success of educating students,” College of Coastal Georgia President Michelle Johnston said. “We hope that during this special week, faculty, staff, and students reaffirm our commitment to having an ethical culture and comfortable environment for everyone on campus.”
