The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2018 NAIA Men’s Tennis All-America teams Tuesday and College of Coastal Georgia’s Matt Hulme was named a First-Team All-American. Hulme, a Freshman from Brisbane, Australia was a stand-out for the Mariners this year, having earned a 16-0 record during the spring season. He earned The Sun Conference’s Freshman of the Year honor and was selected First-Team All-Conference. A two-time Player of the Week selection, Hulme rose through the ITA Singles Rankings, and is currently the ranked as the No. 2 player in the nation.
Hulme is the third Mariner to garner All-American status, but is the first one to be named to the First Team. In 2014, Louis Volclair was a Second-Team selection and Jose Zaatini was an Honorable Mention.
