Kids are guaranteed to have a great time learning and exploring at the College of Coastal Georgia’s annual summer enrichment program Kids in College. Kids in College returned to the Brunswick campus and Camden Center this June and will continue into July, providing a unique, fun experience for children aged 8-13 years old.

Summer camps have been jam-packed with activities every day through a combination of classroom instruction and outdoor activities. Kids in College in Camden ended in June and offered a week of activities mainly focusing on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and culinary arts. In Brunswick, the program offers four different camps over the course of four weeks. These include sports, STEM, fine arts and sports II.

The remaining two camps of the program are fine arts (July 8-12) and sports II (July 22-26). At sports camp children will develop their athletic skills and learn the importance of teamwork with the guidance of a coach and collegiate athletes. Children will really have the chance to shine at fine arts camp. Students will have the opportunity to perform their own dances, create a comic strip, do a sand castle challenge at the College’s volleyball court, and so much more.

Fine arts camp costs $170 and sports is $150. Space is still available for both camps. College of Coastal Georgia faculty and staff members are eligible to receive a 10% discount off total camp fees.

Camp hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. with drop-off beginning at 8 a.m. A late pick-up option (4:30-5:30 p.m.) is also available with a fee of $50 per camper per week. Children must bring their own lunches and water bottles for camp each day and bug spray and sunscreen are recommended. Afternoon snacks will be provided by the camp.
