Transfer Admissions Requirements

A student with prior college credit taken after high school graduation is considered a transfer student.

  • Transfer Student: Transfer student applicants have earned 30 or more transferable credits.
  • Freshman Transfer: Transfer freshmen applicants have attended college after high school, but have earned less than 30 transferable credits.
  • Readmit-Transfer: A readmit transfer is a former student who attended Coastal Georgia and then transferred to another institution, but is now returning.
  • Adult/Non-Traditional Transfer: An applicant who has been out of high school at least five years or whose high school class graduated at least five years ago, and who has earned 30 or more transferable semester credit hours may be evaluated as an adult/non-traditional transfer. Requirements are the same as a transfer applicant.
